Frequently Asked Questions
What should my child wear?
Dress in comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows for easy movement. We recommend thin, warm layers since the rink is cool but children warm up quickly while skating. Gloves are required for safety and warmth. A lightweight jacket or sweatshirt and comfortable socks are also recommended.
My child has never skated before. Is that okay?
Absolutely! This class is specifically designed for first-time skaters and beginners. Our coaches love introducing children to the ice and will help each skater feel comfortable and confident at their own pace.
What if my child has taken Learn to Skate classes before?
Great! This trial class is also a wonderful opportunity for skaters who have already completed some Learn to Skate instruction. Our coaches will evaluate each skater's current ability and help determine the best class placement.
Do I need to bring skates?
No! Skate rentals are included with your free trial class. If your child already owns figure skates, they are welcome to bring them.
How early should we arrive?
Please plan to arrive 20–30 minutes before class to check in, get fitted for rental skates, and allow plenty of time to get ready before taking the ice.
Can parents watch?
Yes! Family and friends are welcome to watch from the viewing area and cheer on their skater as they experience the ice for the first time.
