Learn To Skate

Danbury Skating Academy Learn to Skate program is dedicated to providing quality instruction. The development of strong fundamental skills will make ice skating fun for the recreational skater and prepares serious skaters for future figure skating and hockey.

LEARN TO SKATE • FALL 2026

Everything you need for a fun, smooth start on the ice! ❄️

⏰ ARRIVE 15 MINUTES EARLY

Please arrive 15 minutes before class to allow plenty of time for dressing, putting on skates, and tying skates before class begins.

🧤 WHAT TO WEAR

Skaters should wear:

• Thin, warm layers that allow for easy movement
• Gloves or mittens
• Bike helmet

🚗 PARKING

Parking is available across the street in the parking structure.

Please remember that you must pay for parking. The parking structure is not affiliated with the arena, so parking fees are separate from your Learn to Skate registration.

🔄 MAKE-UP CLASS POLICY

Each student is allowed one make-up class per session.

If your skater needs to miss a class, you must email the Skating Director prior to the missed class.

Make-up classes must be arranged directly with the Skating Director and are subject to class availability.
